The Poitou Charente area of France is well known for its summer sunshine, but there can still be many hours of sun during the autumn and, as the nights pull in, the house is warm and cosy with its 2 log burning stoves and efficient central heating system. Winters tend to be colder, but drier, than the UK and it is sheer joy walking in the clean, fresh air of the surrounding countryside! The Christmas markets generally start the first weekend in December and the migratory birds begin to arrive shortly afterwards.

Please note:
Rental prices are fully inclusive of utilities and wood for wood burners and provision of bed linen & towels.
A Welcome Pack is provided for stays of 7 nights and more.
Arrivals can be on any day of the week
If you will be bringing a pet, please let us know.
A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking.
The balance of the holiday rent must be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival, together with a refundable damage & breakages security bond of £200. If the reservation is within 8 weeks of the start of the holiday, the whole amount is requested, plus the security deposit.
Clients are required to take out a travel insurance policy giving full personal liability cover for all members of the party (under French law this is not covered by the property owners insurance).
Cancellation Policy
If the security bond has been paid, this is refunded in full, no matter how much notice is given, plus the following percentage of the booking price:
50-40 days notice - 50% less deposit
39-20 days notice - 30% less deposit
19-11 days notice - 10% less deposit
10-0 days notice - No refund given
